I feel like a celebrity! Friends are saying, "I miss your updates! Update your blog!"- Wow! I feel famous.... Ha! I say this as I am sitting on my couch watching "Denise Richards: It's Complicated". Really. Ok. So, I will tell all my friends and family what I have been up to thus far in July...
The most exciting news is the purchasing of my *NEW* condo in amazing Park City, Utah (think Sundance Film Festival and skiing... ok, I don't ski, but...). I am soooo very excited! A place to get away, a financial investment, and no more searching and paying ridiculous prices for Sundance lodging each year. It's small, but perfect. Love the location and everything about it. I will post pics later... So cute! (I know, not what you think to describe a real estate investment, but that's me!)
The 4th was nice, but low key. Worked out, breakfast on the town, shopping, a movie... Great holiday. I also was lucky to have a Girls Night Out with the high school gang (aka The Tunes Crew!) in Mpls later in the month- free wine, great company, yummy dinner, and a roof top bar... does not get much better than that. The rest of the month has pretty much been travel... Minnesota, Utah, and Minnesota again... and the month is not over... still Nevada and Colorado to come. Yikes!
And... I must not forget the summer concerts. As I mentioned in a previous post, July had Kenny Chesney last weekend and No Doubt tonight. LOVE summer outdoor concerts. I am in my element at these events... I think I may even see Wayne Newton if he played outdoors in the summer. Well, ok... maybe not. Gwen Stefani and a cocktail will do me just fine. Summer bliss.
August brings tons of fun too. The Fray concert, Girls Weekend in Vegas, and more time at the condo in Park City. Can't wait. I will post pics soon. Enjoy the rest of Jubilee July!!! Cheers!

More Airplane Drama...
I blogged about this a few months back- and I really believe, being on a plane almost every week, I could write a book about my travel experiences. Here is what happened today on lovely NWA... Oh. Wait. I mean Delta??? Huh...
#1...
Sitting down, relaxing before the flight, I hear some commotion behind me and then a woman saying, "Your bag is dripping on me!!!".... I look back and see water POURING out of the overhead compartment onto a passenger! It was comical... And to make matters worse, the owner did NOT even apologize that her bag was dripping/pouring (???) onto another passenger! The only thing she said was, "Oh well- it's only water!" Really... Do these things really happen?
#2...
Next up... a different passenger (not seated in 1st class where I was, but trying to sneak up to 1st class... yes, I am kinda a snob... I admit it...) tried to find space in the overhead compartment. It was OBVIOUS that her bag would not fit- anyone could tell- but she was insistent. After several tries, she began to cry, and more than 1 flight attendant came to inform her it would not fit and she would have to check her bag. She kept saying, "But it WILL fit and I do NOT want to check"--- over, and over, and over... And she kept crying. OK, is it really that bad??? I think I counted 1 flight attendant say "Mam it won't fit" more then 10 times. Come on!
#3 and last for the day...
What do you do when the light burns out in the bathroom??? You know how the light comes on when you shut and lock the door? Nope--- did not happen. Have you ever had to pee in a very small cramped foreign place? NOT fun! Tip- you can use your Ipod or cell phone as a flash light. Ha! Kinda gross to bring either near a toilet, but something had to work...
Welcome to my travel world!!!
Happy belated 4th of July!!!

News of the Weird
Many newspapers have "News of the Weird" columns... Here is mine today... Let's just go with headlines and a few comments... No themes--- just stuff I recently found amusing (or scary...):
Alaska... "Tanning & Taxidermy"
Hmm... Really??? Catch some rays while your pet gets stuffed
More Alaska... "I got Crabs at Humpy's"
Don't even wanna know, but I saw the shirt and I went to Humpy's
The Bachelorette
Tanner the Toe Sucker... Is he FOR REAL?
What guy would truly admit this fetish?
All I can think of is toe-jam-- gross
Did you know that it's illegal to have sex with a porcupine in Florida and in Minnesota it's against the law to have relations with a live fish??? Huh. Who knew?
NAKED BIKE RIDE FOR CHARITY
Cities across America participated
Ok, if riding bike does not hurt your "nether regions" enough... why would you do this???? Ugh!
Ouch~
I really do think that is enough for a Monday. I will stop complaining about Jon & Kate and Heidi & Spencer... Oh- sorry, I mean "Speidi"... Geez.

There's Something About This Hotel Experience...
Hilton. Marriott. Holiday Inn. Sheraton. Radisson. Westin... Been there. Done that. Here is something new.
The Curtis Hotel in Denver. Check it out.
http://www.thecurtis.com/
This is an inexpensive boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Denver. Themed floors. Some are... horror films, big hair, TV, music mania, chick flick... Mine is One Hit Wonders. I was greeted by Vanilla Ice when I exited the elevator. Check it out... Ice Ice Baby.... Inside joke, but if Jason Solinger or Ben Weise are reading this... Word to Your Motha...
It is fun everywhere you go.
* Bathroom- The products are called "Glisten, Wet, and Suds" and the poster on the wall states
"All the women whining about not finding a husband obviously never had one"
* Night Stand- alarm clock is in the shape of a VW Bug in the brightest yellow ever seen
* Room Service- Breakfast of whole wheat pancakes and egg whites served with Smarties and Sweet Tarts candies
* Desk- picture of big butts in the worst plaids you will EVER find in the world
Kitschy.... in a good way...
Here is the best (well, not really...) part: For my wake-up call this morning... It was Hannibal Lector... "Good Morning Clarice".. Ok SERIOUS shivers down my spine. I'M UP NOW! No snooze button for this little girl.
Good news- comfortable bed. Great flat screen TV. I'm in.
Hmmm.. there is still some fun in this crazy world.
Gotta go... Carrie Bradshaw is calling.....

Cabo San Lucas

My Favorite Things About Cabo...
Constant heat and sunshine with a light breeze to keep you sane
Pueblo Bonito Sunset Resort & Spa... simply amazing
Pina Coladas, Pina Coladas, and more Pina Coladas... rum!
2-for-1 cocktails at the pool swim-up-bar during Happy Hour
Cabo Wabo and live bands- even better when Sammy shows up!
Parasailing over the Sea of Cortez.. so relaxing
Hola, Gracias, cervasa, tequila, and banos get you through the day
The time right before sunset while reading a book on the patio overlooking the ocean- ahhh...
Mexican food- need I say more???
Ara and strong hands at the spa
Time spent on the elipitcal is not so bad when you can see the beach and boats on the ocean...

Forgot About Mardi Gras...

Emily reminded me the other day that I forgot to post and/or send our Mardi Gras pics. I think that may have been a Freudian miss on my part due to the debauchery of what we engaged in and what we saw... but I went through the pics and think I will be ok to post a few. Here are some that are PG13.
Some to share... Emily and Darien enjoying the fun on Bourbon Street, some random drunk guy (well, maybe he was not drunk, just scantily clad), Emily about to engage in some "temptation", and ending with my "disguise" for "What Happens at Mardi Gras stays at Mardi Gras". Wait, that's Vegas, right? Whatever. We had a blast and saw things that I shall never repeat. Never.
